There will be a 50 year celebration dinner for the Bernard Darwin at Woking Golf Club on Thursday July 2 (being at the end of the first day of the Bernard Darwin when all participants will have been playing all day).

This has now been confirmed. The price will be £38.50 per head to include a reasonable amount of wine but not pre-dinner drinks. Those participants who wish to pay for either additional or higher priced wine, may do do at the time.

The Woking dining room cannot seat more than 80 or so people, so each school has initially been invited to take 5 slots. If you are interested in attending please let Adrian O’Loughlin, the OMGS Honorary Secretary, know by mid-April.

This is planned as an informal evening conforming to normal golf club dining room dress code. The Darwin committee feels that neither black ties nor long speeches would improve the evening in any way.

The OMGS Information Web Site contains a number of downloads that may be of interest to members (OMGS Information Web Site)

A number of members have been sent spam emails that appear to have some association with the OMGS web site.  We suspect that 'spammers' are picking up email addresses by trawling the web site.  Some time ago, we removed all valid email addresses from the text of the web site but it appears that a few are still being picked up from what is left.  We have therefore eliminated all word and punctuation combinations that might give away a valid email address in the hope that this will solve the problem.  We have also tried to disguise names.  We may have to remove all names from the web site - we shall see!
